Don't try this at home!!

It started out alright...
...but then...

...he laid down on the job!

Well, it was a beautiful spring day here in Grand Junction! Josh and I just wanted to be outside and enjoy it...so, we decided to go for a walk. Smarty-pants that I am, I thought it would be fun to take Tater for a walk. Have you ever tried to walk a cat?? We quickly learned that it's no easy task! First, we took Tatey to Petsmart and got him a harness and leash; he was on sensory overload in there! Then, we went to the Riverwalk here, by the Botanical Gardens. I think we walked all of 3 yards when the cat decided he was done. He squirmed out his harness and scratched the heck out of poor Josh...bad kitty! I really thought he would like it outside and walk with us...I was so wrong! Well, I guess I can check that off of my Bucket List...walk a cat and look like a fool! Oh well!

It's Nannerpus!

So, have you seen the Denny's commercial with the Nannerpus?? We saw it yesterday and I have been laughing ever since! It's hilarious and I can't get the song out of my head...it's fantastic!

Happy Birthday, Josh!

The Oreo ice cream cake!

I only posted this pic to show off my favorite cake plate, so cute!

The top of the cake

Holy forest fire!!

Yep, Tater helped blow out the candles!

Every party has a pooper...!

Awwww!!

I love the piggy!

Isn't he a joy?! Such a lovely pose!

Saturday, 2/21 was Josh's birthday and we had a blast! Thanks to his parents, we were able to out and celebrate Josh-style...with food! We went to Famous Dave's, where he ordered a full rack of ribs and forbade me to inform our server that it was his birthday (he didn't want them to sing to him - what a chicken!). Even though he didn't want to be embarrassed, somehow I earned the title, "Fuji-mama, Jr." because I took pictures of him with his ribs...and I loved every minute of it! I made Josh an ice cream cake, because it combines two of his loves, ice cream and cake! He wanted me to use Oreo ice cream, so I made the cake look like a giant (like quadruple stuff) Oreo! It was too cute and I do have to admit that I even impressed myself! I am so grateful to have such a loving and fun husband, he is the greatest! I love you, honey...happy birthday!

Christina Loves Josh!

Josh's heart attack!!

The adorable card I made for my valentine!

I made Josh pink heart shaped pancakes!

The batter looked like Pepto...but they were tasty!

We had the best Valentine's Day, Josh and I spent the day together and we had a blast! I am so thankful to have a man who loves me, even if I do serve him pink pancakes for breakfast! Josh is so kind, loving, and he continues to amaze me. I am eternally grateful to have this wonderful man to be my husband for time and all eternity. I love you, Stinkey!

Good Grief!!

Did you ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right and then you come home from work (after slipping an falling on the ice) and find this lovely mess?? This is what happens when you live with Tater...beware!

Our First Christmas Together!

This is my in-laws backyard!! It is so beautiful up there!

Here's my father-in-law, Bill...studying Lehi's dream!

Josh and his mama, so cute!
Josh and his Granny Eldora

Tater was so pooped out after all the Christmas fun!

This is Granny Eldora, she is absolutely adorable!

My adorable hubby!

...until he finally found the game!

Josh only asked for one present for Christmas...a PS3 game. He had opened everything else and was on his last present; I had made him a blanket and hid the game inside...he was so disappointed...

Tater was spoiled...he's eating treats out of Ila's hand!

If you look closely, you can see that Riggy is hiding from Tater...he's actually being hunted by the big kitty!

Tater completely took over the house, he ate all of Riggy's food, spilled his water, ate (yes, ate!) his toys, and stole his bed...he is a tad large for it!

The Griffin Home

Tatey came out of the cage for a few minutes...he loved riding like this!

The Jeep...it was just a little frozen!

So, you can't really see it in this picture, but the road is just a big sheet of ice! It was like this most of the way there.

Merry Christmas from Tater Claus!!

2008 truly was our first Christmas together, last year, in 2007, Josh came with me to California to meet my family. He was only able to be in Gridley for like 36 hours due to his work schedule. But, my parents threw us a wonderful engagement party, and he flew back to Colorado the day before Christmas. So, this year, we went to Montana! We spent Christmas with Josh's parents, Bill and Ila Kaye. It was awesome!! It was my first official white Christmas...it was really white! There was SO much snow up there! We took Tater the wondercat and introduced him to Riggy the old gray cat Bill and Ila have. It was so much fun to spend the week with Josh's parents, they are such wonderful in-laws! We are so very blessed, it was so great to celebrate the Savior's birth with family. I have to admit that I did miss my family, the only Christmas I have spent away from home was on my mission. But, Bill and Ila are so fantastic, we had so much fun! I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband and family.

Our First Thanksgiving

My cute apple votive holders!

The nosey kitty!

The aftermath...LOL!

Shhh...don't tell Josh I posted this pic!

Our cute little table! I was so excited to finally have an excuse to use our beautiful china!

Here it is...the difficult bird!

Well, due to our work schedules, Josh and I stayed in Grand Junction for Thanksgiving. It ended up being just the two of us, and we had tons of fun!! We spent the day hanging out, cooking, and watching movies...it really was a great day...with the exception of our turkey. Being newlyweds, we live in a humble apartment that has a very dated kitchen...I have 2 working burners (out of 4!), and a temperamental oven. But, we make it work...even though Josh lovingly refers to our house as "The Cave". Anyway, since the oven has a mind of it's own, our little 12.5 pound turkey didn't want to cook! We figured it would take 4 hours max...ha! 7 hours later and after countless frantic calls to my mom in California, we finally decided to risk it and eat the dang thing, even though the timer never popped. It was so good!! Even though we spent the day in The Cave, we had a wonderful Turkey Day with so much to be thankful for. As we finally sat down to eat, all I could think of is how grateful for this life that I have. I am so happy to be married to a wonderful man who loves me, I am grateful for our wonderful family, and for all the blessings our loving Heavenly Father gives us. It was a fantastic day!

Seeing Spots!!

Tatey tries to appear tough...he can always be swayed by ice cream!

Ok, so sometimes we torture him by dressing him up...we're not nutty people, it's just super funny to watch him!

Yeah, he has a fascination with our clothes hamper...apparently it's a fun toy.

Tater is a tad nosey...you can't do much without him being right there.

Cats...I've never really been a fan...and now I'm paying the price! Somehow I married Dr. Doolittle and he really wanted a kitty. So, after some bargaining, and being promised that I wouldn't have to take care of the fur-ball, I caved. Now I am seeing spots as Tater the wonder cat runs a muck!! Josh somehow found a cat that is his "mini-me"! They are so much alike, it's hilarious! Tater is a very pretty cat, but he is way too curious and somewhat destructive. However, he is very entertaining, we are laughing all the time!

Jimmy Eason

A few weeks before the wedding, Jimmy called me and told me that he has bought his own tuxedo...and that it was PURPLE!! I knew he had to be joking, but then when I talked to Josh later that day, he confirmed the purple tux story and I kinda freaked out. Well, Jimmy had a regular black tux; I was so thankful! Somehow, he convinced our photographer to colorize his tux in this pic...thanks so much Jimmy!!!

My brother in law Jimmy is quite the jokester...when we finally got home and looked at all of our pictures, somehow Jimmy popped up in quite a few pics! Jimmy, thanks for all the laughs, even the purple tux...now I can laugh at that!
