The Little Man

Meet my new nephew, Karam Veer Singh, born July 16th!! He truly is a miracle baby and we are all so grateful to have him in our lives (I can't wait to meet him!!)

Lol, I love his skinny little legs here!!

Proud parents, my sister Lori and her hubby Guppy...such an adorable family!!

The first time I saw this picture, I wept. My sister and her husband truly have been blessed to have this little guy. I just love the peace on both of their faces, so adorable!

My Dad

So, while I was in California, I decided to capture some of the unique characteristics that make my dad so special...here we go!
My dad is a wonderful grandpa...here he is with Brennan

My dad has always had a "toy car"...this is one of his current ones. Meet Smokey the convertible! This is Dad's weekend car that he toots around town in...but only in the daylight because the blinkers don't work and only one headlight will pop up!!

And here's the other "toy"...Arvil (named after the old man who my dad bought it from!). When I was at home, my dad said I was more than welcome to use Arvil...I drove it once and that was enough!!! It's a beast!! But, my papa loves it, so that's ok. Notice how it's parked 4 feet away from the curb?? Al doesn't want the sprinklers to get it wet...lol!!

On the weekends when my dad is home, he and his best buddy, AKA: Hank the dog frequently go for rides in Smokey!! Hank will sit is this dang car for hours until my dad takes him for a ride...hilarious!!

I now know where I get my crafty side from...my dad made his own fountain in the courtyard!! He drilled through a birdbath and and a small bird statue and stuck them on top of a broken sprinkler!! LOL!! Crafty!!

Dad, Brennan, and Karam
I am so grateful for my father, he is a wonderful man. I love him and am glad we have him around...he keeps life interesting!!

Good Times in Cali!

On July 1st, I flew home to California and surprised my siblings with a visit (my parents thought we were so crafty!). It was a great time; I loved seeing everyone! While I was there, I tried my best to coax my sister to the delivery room to have her baby...no such luck; he was born the day after I came back to Texas!! But, I was able to be at her baby shower. It was a lovely evening!

The centerpieces...so adorable!!
My sister-in-law, Jen, got these cute (and tasty) suckers for favors...they were adorable!

Ok, this was the dessert table...so cute!

Are these not the cutest 'K' cookies you've ever seen?! My mom baked them, my prego sister did the frosting, and I did the sugar on them...so adorable!!

My sister, Lori, and her mountain of baby gifts!

So, when she started opening gifts, it was still light outside...

...then it got a bit darker...

...and then there wasn't any light at all!! One of the shower guests happened to have a flashlight in her car, so she shined the light just so my sister could see what she was opening!! It was hilarious!!

I got to go swimming with my brother's kids, Brennan and Meredith...and watch them at swimming lessons! This is Brennie diving.

My nephew Brennan is a total ham...he loved having his own personal paparazzi!

His sister, on the other hand, does not like the camera!! Every time I got it out, the little stinker would turn her head or run away!! She is so adorable...I just wanted a smiley pic!!

Mer mer playin peek-a-boo

My dad was all disappointed that no one saved him a K cookie from the baby shower, so my mom and Brennan decided to make him some cookies. Brennie decided that the dough should be red and there were all kinds of shapes being cut out!! It was so cute watching him and my mom; she is a fantastic grandma!!

Brennie proudly displaying the longhorn cookie cutter my mom bought me...he thought it was hilarious to make "cow head cookies"!

This kid is too funny!! Ok, so if you know my dad, you know that he loves to lay on the couch and relax...he also loves his straw hat. Brennie is doing his impersonation of Grandpa Al here...hilarious!!

Birth Day

He's here!! He's here!! Baby Karam was born yesterday afternoon...the day after I left California. Sad. But, that's ok, at least we have modern technology and I can see instant pictures. I can't even begin to express the true joy that I have in knowing that Karam is here and he and my sister are both doing fine; he is truly a miracle baby. I am so happy for my sister and her husband...the Lord does hear and answer all of our prayers. I stole the above pic from my sister-in-law's Facebook album, but as soon as I receive more pics, I will post them!

The Clock Is Ticking!!

So, my week in Gridley came and went...and I didn't leave!! My sister is about ready to welcome a new baby boy and I kind of wanted to be here for the birth of baby Karam...except he is taking his own sweet time coming out to play!! And, I'm growing impatient (I am leaving in 4 days!!). It has been good to be home; we have all had a great time. I have lots of pictures to post, but I will have to wait until I get home to do so. In the meantime, I am trying to wait patiently...ugh!!
Tick tock...time is running out!!!!!!

Great Gridley

Beautiful Downtown Gridley...
And, if you know your trivia, you are fully aware that Gridley is the Kiwi Capitol of the USA!! Woo hoo!! :)

I have returned!! I'm currently in the land of my childhood...Gridley, California!! It has been a year (since our wedding) since I have been home and seen my family, so I am here for a week. My parents and I pulled a fast one on the rest of the family and surprised them all!! It was hilarious! I have had a blast so far hangin' with everyone and catching up. I also will be fortunate enough to be here for my sister's baby shower next week (although I would like it if baby Karam would come out to play before then!!) It is such a blessing to have a wonderful and loving family, I am so blessed!
