I'm Personally Progressing!!

Well, it's happened...I think I've gone nuts!! Last week, I got some wild hair and decided to do Personal Progress again! Here's the thing: I've already done it. I earned my medallion in May 1995. But, now being in Young Womens and seeing that not too many of the youth even care to do it, I have taken the challenge to earn another medallion. The program has changed and it is now a lot easier to earn, so I am working on it! I started a week ago and already have seen what an inspired program it is. So, I will keep you posted on my progress...yay!!

Change

Change...it's a good thing, right?? I think that 2009 was the year of changes for us. We changed locations, jobs, and even the way we lived our day to day lives in order to survive financially. But, the best change was that we grew closer to the Lord. I look back at the past year and I am grateful for the challenges that I had because they forced me to change and become a better person. I'm not big on New Year's Resolutions, but I do look forward to the year ahead the the opportunities it will bring. 2009 brought us to Texas, a new nephew, Karam, and many other wonderful blessings. Change is a good thing!

The Big Guy

Well, I've been a bit of a slacker and didn't even blog about Christmas! Ugh! Things for us have been hectic and busy, but I wanted to post a picture of one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Ever since I can remember, my dad has put up Big Santa outside of our house - a tradition that he got from his father. To me, it isn't Christmas without Big Santa. He has been in various places around the yard and is looking a bit old now, but he is my favorite thing about Christmas. This year, Josh and I weren't able to go to Gridley to see him, so pictures will have to do. And yep, he is rather large...that's my mom's Expedition in the background! Long live Big Santa!!
